Bid on desks to benefit District 300

On March 5, the world got the first glimpse of the many creative pieces that belong to the Desks on Parade collection, unique desks created by local artists and students throughout District 300.

There are 19 desks in total that will be on public display at Roosevelt University in Schaumburg starting Friday. For details or to place bids, visit www.d300foundation.org.

Beginning today, you will have a chance to own one of these remarkable desks. Bids will be accepted daily until 9 p.m., with the bids then being loaded onto the District 300 Foundation Web site at 10 p.m.

This will give everyone an opportunity to bid on the desk before the auction ends April 23.

All proceeds will benefit the District 300 Foundation for Educational Excellence, and desks will be picked up after the annual Award Ceremony Spring Gala April 25.
