• Michael James Geniesse Jr. of Buffalo Grove received a bachelor's degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University at the Aug. 4 summer commencement in Ames.
• Andrew Weiser of Wheeling graduated in June 2007 with a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from Kettering University in Flint, Mich.

• The University of Wisconsin-Madison named the following students to the 2006-07 spring Dean's List for ranking in the top 10 percent of their class or achieving a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

• Erin B. O'Neill and Mark I. Snitowsky, both of Wheeling were named to the spring 2007 Dean's List at Bradley University in Peoria for achieving a minimum 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.
• Carly T. Burda of Buffalo Grove, a junior majoring in early childhood education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was named to the spring 2007 Dean's List for having a minimum 3.4 grade point average. She is a graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School.
• Joseph R. Antonaci of Wheeling, a sophomore majoring in business administration operations management at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was named to the spring 2007 Dean's List for having a minimum 3.4 grade point average. He is a Wheeling High School graduate.
• Theodore D. Ogilvie of Buffalo Grove graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., at the May 12, 2007 spring commencement ceremonies.
• Ross Jared Houston of Buffalo Grove received a bachelor's degree in communication from Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo., at the May 5, 2007 graduation ceremonies.
• Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., named the following students to the spring 2007 President's List. To be eligible, students must earn at least 12 undergraduate semester hours of credit with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
