Hillary campaign fun to watch
Following Hillary's landslide win in the Pennsylvania primary, the New York Times editorial board published a scathing editorial slamming Sen. Clinton for the nature of her victory, which used negativity to propel her to victory. The New York Times whined Hillary is hurting the Democratic party's chances to win the Big Enchilada, la Casa Blanca, in the fall. Too bad.
I watched the speeches of the two Democratic candidates -- Hillary's victory speech in Pennsylvania at her election headquarters, and Obama's concession speech on the campaign trail in Indiana. I was struck by the ecstatic Philadelphia crowd as Hillary gave her speech to the approval of her jut-jawed hubby, their beaming daughter, Chelsea, and hundreds of supporters.
One member of the crowd was wearing boxing gloves, which was a perfect metaphor for the night as Hillary previously compared herself to the fictional underdog boxer, Rocky Balboa.
Hillary, who won despite the fact her opponent outspent her 2-1 in the Pennsylvania primary, just won't go away. We political junkies are loving it. Not as much as John McCain, but much more than the New York Times.
On to Indiana! This is political theater at its best.
