Meet Alex
Alex had shared the same home with another canine, Freya, before they both came to Save-A-Pet. But soon after Freya's arrival, she was diagnosed with advanced cancer. Alex has had a hard time dealing with her death. Their bond was visible, always playing together and then snuggling up and giving each other kisses. Alex grew up with three kids, from newborn and up and enjoyed an active lifestyle with his family. He needs a new family to heal his soul.
These pets are also looking for homes.
Sarea is about 3 years old and a dilute calico that was abandoned. She was a housecat and is depressed being at the shelter. She only perks up for people but ignores food. She is front-paw declawed.
Black Shadow and Sly Shadow are two black kittens. These two boys are neutered, all up-to-date on shots, tested and have microchips.
Second call for Mugsy, a 10-year old solid gray cat. He is front paw declawed and was used to an active lifestyle with kids ages 4 through 13. He lives for the moments when he can be held.
Save-A-Pet is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Adoption fees are $125 for a kitten, $100 for a cat 1 year old or older, $250 for a puppy up to 7 months old, $150 for a dog 7 months to 7 years old and $125 for a dog older than 7 years.
Save-A-Pet now uses the identifying microchip on all dogs and cats entering the shelter.
