Pajama night to help foster children
The North Aurora Mothers Club and Tanner Trails Community Church are partnering to sponsor a Pajama Drive to benefit a charity that supplies new pajamas to foster children.
Many of these children are waiting to be placed in permanent homes.
The family movie night event will be at 7 p.m. May 2 at Tanner Trails Community Church, 2301 Tanner Road.
The groups are requesting a donation of a new pair of pajamas, preferably with the tags on and in the package.
Many of the children are in need, and in many cases, have never enjoyed the comfort of having a mom or dad put them to bed at night.
The Pajama Program, which is a not-for-profit organization, is headquartered in New York and helps children in the United States and around the world. More information about the Pajama Program is available at www.pajamaprogram.org.
More information about the event is available by calling Jennifer at (630) 404-9265.
