Lincolnshire Prairie-View School District 103

'Twinderella': Daniel Wright Junior High School will present "Twinderella The Musical" by Charlie Lovett, with music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur, at 7 p.m. Thursday at the school, 1370 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. Students in fifth- through eighth-grades will present the musical. Music teacher Nancy Alban and performing arts teacher Ioana Ligdas direct the production.

Students featured: Elayna Cooper, Jack Cordes, Jared Moelaart and Alyssa Poteet, seventh-grade students at Daniel Wright Junior High School, will grace the cover of the Illinois Reading Council Journal's summer issue.

Seventh-graders at the school created posters as part of an integrated project led by teachers Laura Best, Irene Scherping and Renee Zorc. The project required students to read a book and create a poster to entice other students to read it.

Students used a graphics-editing program to create posters incorporating photographs, original artwork and student quotes addressing why "books still matter."
