Home-Based Businesses: The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber's Home-Based Business Group will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the chamber office. There will be a roundtable discussion on issues affecting businesses. Bring a bag lunch.

Breakfast with Hastert: The Northern Illinois Business Advocacy Coalition and the Illinois Chamber PAC invite the community to a breakfast with former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. May 10 at the Sheraton Chicago Northwest, at Euclid and Rohlwing Roads in Arlington Heights. Hastert will discuss the impact of government on business and the economy. A breakfast buffet will bc served. Admission is a $50 minimum contribution to support the efforts of NIBAC and the Chamber PAC as they advocate on behalf of the Illinois business community.
