Flows like water when it isn't yours

After reading the recent editorial regarding an untimely pay raise for and by the governing board of Elk Grove, I believe an additional comment could have been made: Not many Elk Grove Villagers were surprised that their mayor and trustees elected to give themselves a salary increase as they continue to pay millions of dollars trying to prevent expansion of the O'Hare airport.

It is another example of how easy it is to spend someone else's money.
