Aeros shut out Wolves
HOUSTON -- Goaltender Anton Khudobin stopped all 26 shots he faced to hand the Chicago Wolves a 1-0 shutout loss Thursday night at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec recorded 19 saves on 20 shots in the loss for the Wolves, who lost three straight for the first time in 43 games.
The Wolves, who lead the American Hockey League with an average of 3.73 goals per game, were shut out for the fourth time and the first time since Jan. 16.
The Wolves (46-17-2-2) still lead the Western Conference with 96 points and hold a 14-point advantage over the Rockford IceHogs and San Antonio Rampage for first place in the West Division with 13 games remaining in the regular season.
The Aeros (36-25-2-3) scored at the 11:08 mark of the second period. The Wolves outshot the Aeros 15-5 in the third period.
