Naperville police investigate burglary at church

Naperville police said Wednesday they're looking for residents' help to develop clues after burglars struck Alleluia Lutheran Church last month.

Police said burglars entered the church at 4055 Book Road and forced their way into several locked offices. The intruders caused $10,000 in damage and escaped with an undetermined amount of money.

"It looks like they were after cash in various locations throughout the church," Cmdr. Dave Hoffman said.

Police said the burglary took place between 11 a.m. Feb. 18 and 6:15 a.m. Feb. 19.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the burglary.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at (630) 420-6006. Callers may remain anonymous.
