Tickets still on sale for high school classic
Tickets are still available for the Chicago High School Classic, an all-star game featuring some of Chicagoland's finest boys basketball players.
The 3-point shootout, dunk contest and all-star game will be taking place at Niles North High School on Friday, April 4 starting at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for high school students with ID and high school coaches, $5 for children under 14 and senior citizens and free for kids under 5 years old. Group rates are also available.
There are 6 players from the Daily Herald circulation area participating in the event. They are Bartlett's Kamil Janton (who has committed to Eastern Michigan), Driscoll's Jake Lindfors (Albany), Jacobs' John Moran (Northern Iowa), Glenbard West's John Shurna (Northwestern), Stevenson's Kevin Stineman (SIU-Edwardsville) and Fenton's Gozie Umeadi (undecided).
Shurna is one of 6 participants in the dunk contest and Moran is one of 6 in the 3-point shootout.
