Attorney General Lisa Madigan gives birth to daughter

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is a mother for the second time.
She gave birth this morning to Lucy Lillian Madigan Byrnes. Lucy weighs in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and is 20 inches long.
Madigan and her husband, Pat Byrnes, also have a three-year-old daughter, Rebecca.
Madigan says in a statement that she's thrilled and that Rebecca is proud to be a big sister.
Madigan will take a short break from her post as she recovers. Until then, she plans to be in daily contact with her staff.
