One hurt at excavation site in Lake Bluff

A 45-year-old Chicago man was injured Wednesday in an "excavation accident" in Lake Bluff, police said. The incident took place about 3 p.m. on the 1200 block of Sheridan Road. According to a press release, the victim was taken by helicopter to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Further details about the nature of the incident, as well as the man's name and condition, were not immediately available.
