Strides gains injection approval

BUFFALO GROVE -- Akorn-Strides LLC on Tuesday announced the Food and Drug Administration's approval of an application for Tobramycin Injection USP. The approval demonstrates that a generic drug is bioequivalent to the brand-name product. Tobramycin Injection is an antibiotic and is recommended in the treating of infections that are strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria.
