Thanks for fixing turn signal timing

I want to thank the DuPage County Department of Economic Planning and Development, and (more importantly) Mr. John Loper, the Principal Transportation Planner.

I found their department on the Web, e-mailed him on a Monday and the following week, on a Tuesday morning, a problem was fixed.

I know there were many people who joined my frustration when the timing of the turning signal on southbound Gary Avenue from eastbound Lake Street was only two seconds long. The turning lane holds about six-seven cars and another three-four lineup in the yellow zone. For three weeks the turning signal was only two seconds long.

If the driver of the front car blinked, the turning signal expired.

Meade Electric was working there on the morning of Tuesday, March 18. I was overjoyed to see the turning signal was back to normal (more than 20 seconds long) on my way home from work that very evening.

Thank you, Mr. Loper, and to all the departments involved for listening and following through.
