Hoffman Estates sponsors volleyball

The village of Hoffman Estates will lend its name to the U.S. volleyball team's June matches at the Sears Centre arena. The sponsorship will be in name only, meaning the village won't be paying any money, Village Manager James Norris said. The board voted for the sponsorship Monday. Team USA will face Bulgaria on June 21 and 22, part of the FIVB World League matches. The event is the first that the Northwest Suburban Sports Council helped lure to the Sears Centre, Norris said.
