Chicago teen carjacks vehicle from 12-year-old
Authorities say a 15-year-old carjacked a vehicle from a 12-year-old Chicago boy while he warmed up the car for his mother.
Byron Rush of Chicago has been charged as an adult with one count of vehicular hijacking. Published reports say that a judge ordered him held Wednesday in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Authorities say the 12-year-old was waiting in a running 2002 Nissan on Tuesday morning on Chicago's West Side. That's when Rush allegedly approached the car, knocked on the window and aimed a handgun at the boy.
Authorities say the boy got out of the car and Rush drove off. Police later located the car and arrested Rush.
