UConn keeps rolling along
Tina Charles scored 21 points, and Renee Montgomery added 15 to help top-ranked Connecticut cruise past Pittsburgh 74-47 on Monday night in the Big East conference tournament semifinals in Hartford, Conn.
Connecticut (31-1) will face No. 23 Louisville, a 67-60 winner of West Virginia, in the championship game tonight. It's the fourth straight year Connecticut has made the title game. The Huskies lost last season to Rutgers in the finals, but won the previous two titles.
Shavonte Zellous scored 11 points to lead the Panthers (22-10).
Louisville 67, W. Virginia 60: Angel McCoughtry scored 24 points, and No. 23 Louisville advanced to its first Big East tournament final by holding off No. 16 West Virginia in Hartford, Conn.
The Cardinals (24-8), who moved back into the Top 25 Monday for the first time since the second week of the season, have won 10 of their last 11 games.
LaQuita Owens had 23 for the Mountaineers (24-7).
