Police saying litle about discovery of woman, boyfriend along I-55

ODELL -- Illinois State Police is releasing little information about the case of a woman who was found in a ditch along Interstate 55 near Odell earlier this week and later pronounced dead.

Twenty-one-year-old Angela Costello of Lockport was found with a man identified as her boyfriend on Monday. The man has since been released from a hospital in Pontiac.

Illinois State Police Master Sergeant Tad Williams says authorities received at least three calls about pedestrians on that stretch of interstate and dispatched officers early Monday.

Costello and the man were found and taken to the Pontiac hospital.

Livingston County Coroner Mike Burke declined to release the results of Tuesday's autopsy on Costello.

Williams says state police will treat the case as a criminal investigation until evidence proves otherwise.
