Wolves can't hold late lead
The Chicago Wolves let a 3-1 third-period lead slip away before losing 4-3 in a shootout against the Iowa Stars on Friday night at the Allstate Arena.
Stars goaltender Tobias Stephan stopped all 5 Wolves attempts in the shootout, while center Perttu Lindgren bested Wolves goalie Ondrej Pavelec for the winner.
"We brought mediocrity tonight, and that is what did us in," said Wolves coach John Anderson.
