Bond set for music teacher accused of sexually abusing students
A Cook County judge has set bond at $150,000 for a music teacher at Kenwood Academy on Chicago's South Side who is accused of sexually abusing two male students.
The bond was set Friday for 57-year-old Kenneth Lenon, who was charged Wednesday with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Authorities said the most recent abuse occurred last week, while a second victim reported the misconduct took place more than two years ago.
Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Kathleen Muldoon said Lenon inappropriately touched a 16-year-old boy several times between November 2005 and January 2006.
Muldoon said Lenon inappropriately touched the 17-year-old second victim on March 3.
