Pat Botterman will be remembered

It is with great sadness that I read of the passing of Pat Botterman. I had come to know Pat when I ran on a bipartisan slate for a township post. I found that Pat had an excellent grasp of politics, a passion for what he did, a real concern for citizens and a strong dedication to whatever he undertook.

I saw a man who believed in fairness and was a friend even when at that time we were in opposite parties.

I had looked forward to the e-mails he sent me and looked forward to helping him out on the campaigns he was involved in. I truly believe he will be missed, more so than it initially seems. The people of this area, as well as others, lost a good friend and dedicated leader.

I am honored to have had him as a friend and to have known him.
