Governor's budget merits support

It is my hope that our local lawmakers will support Gov. Blagojevich's budget or at least have ideas about how to improve it rather than merely follow leadership and make excuses for inaction. (We cannot afford it!)

The governor has not called for an income tax hike. As a senior, I appreciate that. Be sure that our lawmakers understand that we do not want funds raised on our backs with a tax hike.

I cannot afford any more taxes!
