28-year-old Chicago man identified in fatal fall from roof in Gurnee
A man who died from injuries after falling off a roof in Gurnee on Friday has been identified as Braulio Lozano, 28, of Chicago.
Lozano was part of a crew installing solar panels on the roof of a two-story home on the 2000 block of Liberty Lane, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Gurnee police and fire responded to the address about 3:30 p.m. Friday for a report of a man who had fallen from the roof. Emergency crews found Lozano breathing but unresponsive, according to the coroner’s office.
He was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Preliminary results indicate Lozano died from blunt-force injuries as a result of the incident, according to the coroner’s office.
The situation is being investigated by Gurnee police and the and Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
