String quartet to play at Harper
The Cassatt String Quartet performs at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Harper College's Building J Theatre, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, as part of the school's celebration of Women Make History Month.
Named for American impressionist painter Mary Cassatt, the all-female group's performance features the premiere of Dan Welcher's Third Quartet, "The Cassatt." The quartet includes Muneko Otani and Jennifer Leshnower on violin, Michiko Oschima on viola and Nicole Johnson on cello.

Take part in annual school blood drive
The Palatine High School National Honor Society will host its annual LifeSource Blood Drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the school's East Gym, 1111 N. Rohlwing Road.
Walk-in donors from the community are welcome. The drive benefits local hospitals and clinics. Call faculty sponsor Colleen Pagnani at (847) 755-1731.
Easter Egg hunt at Langendorf Park
The Barrington Park District will hold its annual Easter Egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Langendorf Park, 235 Lions Drive. The event is open to children of all ages.
There is a 15-egg limit per child. Cookies and hot cocoa will also be served. Admission is $3 per child, or $5 at the door. Call (847) 381-0687.
