2 more arrested in Elgin home invasion
Elgin police today announced two more arrests in connection with a violent Aug. 22 home invasion in which four residents, including three children, were bound and robbed at gunpoint.
Daniel A. Feliciano, 20, of 2407 Day Break Court, Elgin and Frederick J. Neal, 34, of 100 Bounty Lane, Poplar Grove, were arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of home invasion and one count of armed robbery stemming from the incident.
Police believe Feliciano and Neal were among six men involved the incident in the 3600 block of Old Bridge Lane, and they hope to have all six in custody within the next few days,
Both men appeared in court Friday, where Kane County Judge Kevin Busch set bond for each at $500,000.
Earlier this week police arrested Donell J. Lyle, 22, of Elgin, on two counts of home invasion and one count of robbery.
Authorities say the men, one armed with a handgun, broke into the home after 11:10 p.m. Aug. 22 and used duct tape to bind a 63-year-old woman and three children, ages 8, 6 and 5.
A 44-year-old man, police said, tried to fend off the intruders with a baseball bat, but was beaten and pistol-whipped, suffering a six-inch cut on the top of his head.
His wife managed to escape by jumping 14 feet from a second-floor window before running to a neighbor's for help.
All three suspects could face 30 years in prison if convicted of either home invasion or armed robbery.
