Need a passport? Apply Saturday
The U.S. Postal Service will present a Passport Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the post office, 66 Grove Court, Elgin.
The passport fee is $75 for adults; $60 for children under 16. Checks or money orders should be made payable to U.S. Department of State. There is a $25 processing fee for all applicants. Checks or money orders should be made payable to postmaster.
Passport photos will be available on site for $15. Cash, money order, personal checks and debit cards will be accepted.
You must bring two forms of identification: certified birth certificate (includes official seal), current driver's license or state ID card; or, naturalization certificate (if naturalized citizen), current driver's license or state ID card. These requirements also apply to passport cards. All applicants must bring two 2-by-2-inch photos if not purchasing photos on site. Minor children under 16 years of age need both parents present at time of application. All applicants must appear in person, including minors.
