Ethanol does not answer oil problem
We are spending millions of dollars to add ethanol to our gasoline. It is not reducing our consumption on foreign oil. The monetary value is very marginal and only adds cost to the consumer.
Ethanol is like a runaway train going down the wrong way track with no way to stop it. If all the corn were converted to ethanol, a great impact would occur to our food supply. The corn grain is vital to our food supply.
The politicians, lobbyists, senators and agribusiness people are all making big money on ethanol. This is why it is so popular.
Ethanol is not the answer. Other alternatives should be investigated. Congress should issue a mandate to kill the present ethanol programs before it is too late.
