Firefighters to serve up pancake breakfast

The Long Grove Firefighters Association and South Lake County Regional Community Emergency Response Team will present their "Flaming Flapjacks Pancake Breakfast" from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 5 at Long Grove Fire Protection District, 1165 Old McHenry Road.

Long Grove firefighters will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, with flapjacks, sausage, muffins, coffee, orange juice and more for $5 per person (free for kids under 3).

The event will feature live music by Tom Swenson, a 50/50 raffle, chair massages, and a silent auction for gift certificates and gift baskets, as well as chocolate chip pancakes, face painting, balloon animals, and a Firefighter Puppet Show at 10:30 a.m.
