Lawsuit isn't about children's safety

I'm truly amazed and overwhelmed at the sudden concern for my kids' safety from the folks at White Eagle and Tall Grass (Neighborhood Schools for our Children) regarding their opposition to the new Metea Valley High School location. Far be it for me to question the altruistic motives of my fellow neighbors, but I will.

I find it curious these two communities are so concerned about the new location that they would hire a lawyer to stop it even though their kids will not even be attending the new school. I think their opposition has little to do with the site's "safety" or supposed "bait and switch" tactics and everything to do with where the kids at White Eagle and Tall Grass will now attend high school. Those kids are going to Waubonsie, not Neuqua; a "downgrade" in their eyes.

These "good Samaritans" should be honest and up front about their motivations and stop wasting the vast majority's time and tax dollars on frivolous lawsuits. Most approve the new site and I urge District 204 to proceed with their plans accordingly.
