Appeal assessments through Thursday

The Board of Review will be open through Thursday for Palatine Township residents wishing to file an appeal to recent property tax assessments.

For residents who filed an appeal with the County Assessors office and did not get a favorable ruling, an appeal can be filed with the Board of Review.

Booster Club offers 15 scholarships

The Fremd Viking Booster Club will award 15 $1,000 scholarships to outstanding Fremd High School seniors. The scholarships are for students planning on attending a junior college or trade school.

Financial need and academic accomplishments are not under consideration. Applications should be dropped off by 3 p.m. Thursday in the booster club mailbox. Forms are available online at fhs.d211.org or in the school guidance office.
