Wickes liquidation begins today

WHEELING -- Going-out-of-business sales at Wickes Furniture stores begin today at 18 Illinois stores. The Wheeling-based furniture chain, with 38 stores in four states, said sales of 25 percent to 50 percent will continue at least until the end of April. Northbrook-based Hilco Merchant Resources LLC is among the firms assisting the liquidation.
