Park district offers guitar lessons
Guitar lessons for ages 6 to adult begin Tuesday at the Hanover Park Park District, 1919 Walnut Ave. Classes will be taught by professional guitarist and composer Chris Zamora.
Session I continues for seven weeks through April 15. Students may select a time for private weekly half-hour lessons, beginning at 5 and meeting on the hour and half-hour through 8:30 p.m. Session II begins May 2, running weekly through June 13.
Classes are designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. The resident fee for the Spring I or Spring II session is $173. For information, call arts coordinator Susan Matthews at (630) 837-2468.
Piano recital set at Victory Centre
At 3 p.m. Tuesday, Bartlett resident Phyllis Muhling will present a piano recital and sing-along at the Victory Centre of Bartlett, 1101 W. Bartlett Road. Muhling was a long-time piano instructor in the area, and is active with local music educators clubs.
The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are encouraged. For information, call (630) 213-0100.
Hanover Park to host blood drive
Hanover Park will host its semiannual blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. LifeSource Blood Centers will be at the Hanover Park village hall, 2121 W. Lake St.
