Unsafe foreign imports must stop

There has been quite a bit of coverage lately about imported heparin and how unsafe it is. The FDA stated that they are going to inspect those imports. How much money is that going to cost the taxpayers?

There is an easier way! We have to tell the drug companies to stop importing unsafe components and manufacture everything here in the U.S.A.

I speak as a person who has a blood clot in my leg. If the hospital personnel would have wanted to put heparin in my system, I would have said no.

This is an election year, so we should call the candidates and state firmly that all the unsafe foreign imports must stop and stop now.
