Former employees sue Arlington Park

Three former Arlington Park racetrack employees filed a federal class-action lawsuit this month claiming they were wrongly evicted from apartments on the track's backstretch last year. According to the suit, Rita Lara, Angelica Garcia and David Benitez were all forced to vacate in violation of the Illinois Forcible Entry and Detainer Act. The suit claims all three were not and still not have been able to retrieve all their personal belongings. The suit is asking for an injunction as well as recovery of any damages suffered by the three plaintiffs.
