Herald failed to report church flap
Since Eliot Spitzer resigned in disgrace, the No. 1 news story being dealt with on talk radio and cable news was the hateful anti-American statements made by the minister of the church attended by Barack Obama.
From the pulpit, this man declared that our government infected black people with the AIDS virus, that God shouldn't bless America, he should damn America, among other outrageous rants.
My wife asked me why the mainstream newspapers weren't covering this story, hinting that there may be some bias by the newspapers in play. Attempting to prove her wrong for once, I checked Saturday's edition of the Daily Herald meticulously and found no mention of the story in this fine newspaper.
I can only conclude that somehow the section of The Herald that contained the Obama church minister story was inadvertently removed from the edition that was delivered to our house and that for once the wench is wrong. There is no bias.
