Thanking the voters, and her husband

I would like to thank every precinct committeeman/woman, every county board and party chairperson and most of all, every voter who voted for my husband, John Laesch, in the special primary election on Feb. 5.

John may not have won this election for office, but he did win. He continues to ensure we all win by recruiting precinct committee men and women and other elected officials and getting them involved.

If it were not for John, Illinois' 14th District would not have this flurry of interested candidates running for office or so very many active and interested citizens involved in the deciding the course for our district and our country.

John has a gift for getting people engaged, and for making them matter as integral parts of this progressive movement.

He understands, and helps voters understand, the importance of "why your vote matters" and "how you can make a difference."

If you are interested in getting involved in your community on a local, regional or national level, please contact the campaign at info@john08.com.

I do believe "we the people" have the power to create the change we need and it begins right here in our very own community.

John, I know the best of our country is reflected in your passion and in your will to fulfill your vision by representing the working men and women of our communities in office someday.

You have served your country before and you will again. I am so proud of you and love you dearly for being a leader and making a difference.

Jennifer Laesch
