Men charged in explosion
Three men, including two from West suburban LaGrange, are behind bars in Florida for their role in a Daytona Beach Shores hotel explosion, police said. There were no serious injuries in the early morning explosion, which happened on the second-floor sundeck of the Oceanside Inn. Police have charged Timothy Becktel and Michael Bolt of LaGrange and Christopher Romano of Dayton, Ohio. All three 21-year-olds are accused of discharging a destructive device causing injury and property damage, a first-degree felony. Police say surveillance video led to the three suspects, who were guests at the hotel.
