Four stabbed, one fatally, in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood
Chicago police said a 17-year-old youth was killed and three other people, including a 14-year-old, were wounded in a possibly gang-related stabbing incident in the North Side's Edgewater neighborhood.
Chicago police officer John Henry said the stabbings occurred shortly before midnight Sunday.
The 17-year-old and another victim were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where the 17-year-old was pronounced dead. Authorities said he suffered multiple stab wounds. Another surviving victim was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital and the 14-year-old was taken to Children's Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for a lacerated arm.
