Character will win an election

In a crowded field of Republican Presidential candidates, it should be an eye-opener for all political candidates and voters when we examine the reasons why Mayor Rudy Giuliani did so poorly in the primary elections and now has dropped out of the Presidential race.

Everyone expected Rudy Giuliani to be the candidate to beat because of his impressive performance on Sept. 11 and in the aftermath of the terrorist attack.

In a field of four, five, six or more Republican Presidential candidates, all of whom were pro life, Rudy, was the only pro abortion candidate and failed to connect with the voters.

In addition to his pro-abortion positions, Rudy had a staunch pro gay, lesbian and transgender position and openly supported these homosexual lifestyles.

The American people look at these family values issues and believe they say a lot about a candidate's character.

Character will win all the time.
