Spring adult classes: The Improv Playhouse Adult Actors Institute is taking registration to join its spring beginning to advanced classes.

Monday daytime classes include Beginning Acting: Monologues and Scene from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and Introduction to Improvisation from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Evening classes include: On Camera Commercial and Film Acting from 8 to 10 p.m. Mondays and Improv Combo 2 and 3 and Commercial Voice Over Acting from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays. Intro to Improvisation will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

The spring session begins this week. Most workshops are six to seven weeks long. Prices range from $125 to $295 per term.

Spring youth classes: The Improv Playhouse Youth Training Program in downtown Libertyville is taking registration to join its spring beginning to advanced classes. Classes start this week.

On Tuesdays, classes include Junior High Beginning-Intermediate and Intermediate-Advanced Improv from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Teen Acting (open to ages 13 to 17): Monologues and Scene from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday classes include Biz Kidz: On Camera TV/Film Acting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Screen Teens On Camera TV/Film Acting from 8 to 10 p.m., taught by Draft Worldwide Advertising Casting Associate Rachel Franker.

Thursday classes include High School Beginning-Intermediate Improv from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Teen Improv Ensemble from 8 to 10 p.m.

Saturday classes include Imagine Action-Creative Drama from 10 to 11 a.m.; Jr. High Improv Ensemble from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Broadway Bound Disney's Aristocats Kids from 1 to 2:30 p.m. (April 5 to June 7.

Most workshops run six to seven weeks. Prices range from $125 to $245 per term.

Improv Jams: Improv Playhouse Friday night Improv Jams are returning every other Friday to the Improv Playhouse Black Box. The next performance will be from 8 to 9 p.m. Friday.

At Improv Jams, Improv Playhouse students and staff perform in a "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" comedy show as well as other improv forms made up using audience suggestions.

Admission is $5 for the general public and $3 for Improv Playhouse students.
