No injuries in Mundelein auto shop fire

No one was hurt in an early morning fire at a Mundelein auto shop Wednesday.

The blaze was discovered about 6:30 a.m. at Car Doc, 1282 Townline Road. The business' owner discovered the blaze when he showed up for work, police said.

The fire was contained to a car inside the shop, but smoke damage to the building was heavy, Mundelein firefighters said.

Firefighters took about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control. Crews from the Countryside Fire Protection District, Libertyville and the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District assisted on the scene.

Damage was estimated at $30,000.
