Governor has made state a laughingstock

For those of you that voted for this arrogant governor -- I did not -- your vote has put the state of Illinois in peril.

From the multi-millions spent on special sessions due to his inept inability to lead, to his spineless method of turning a lemon transportation bill into lemonade -- his annoying phrase -- we taxpayers will feel the pain. His idea of providing a blanket "free" ride to anyone over 65 without a means test was not well thought out, but what else would we expect from Gov. Blagojevich. He shoots from the hip without consideration to the long-term effects it will have on the hardworking taxpayer.

The transportation bill is a perfect example. Where is the part that mentions a rate increase for those who actually use it! No, instead of adding some additional cost to those actually using the service, Blagojevich and legislators are content with taking more money from those that are already paying a rate hike in the form of rising gas costs.

Meaning all of us that drive to work everyday in our cars must pay a higher rate due to gas prices rising, and now must pay again for the sales tax increase that is part of the mass transit bailout while many using the transportation services do not pay any increase or will ride for "free".

This state will not be satisfied until it takes every last penny of disposable income from its citizens.

Illinois is a joke under Blagojevich and needs change.
