Kitchen fire in Naperville

A kitchen fire caused about $10,000 in damage at 954 Genesse Court in Naperville Friday.

The fire was reported at 5:24 p.m. and Naperville firefighters arrived at 5:31 p.m., officials said.

They found smoke and flames coming from the kitchen. All occupants got out of the home without injury.

Firefighters confined the flames to the kitchen area and extinguished the fire within 10 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Damages to the building and contents were estimated at $10,000, officials said.
