Sign up Saturday for Elgin Little League

The Elgin Continental Little League will hold registration from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with an "All You Can Hit Night" at the Fox Valley Sports Academy, 1625 Dundee Ave. (Route 25) in Elgin.

Additional registration and skill evaluation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 23 at the Fox Valley Sports Academy field house, 37W950 Mason Road, Elgin.

These are the last registration dates. All new players must bring an original birth certificate to registration. Boundaries are west of Fox River, north of Bowes Road and south of Highland/Larkin/Route 20. This includes Williamsburg Green, Montague Forest, Woodbridge North, Columbine and Catatoga subdivisions and the new subdivisions Providence, Copper Springs, Shadow Hill and Waterford.

Both Elgin Area School District U-46 and Central Unit District 301 are within this area. All age levels, 5 to 18 years, for both boys and girls. T-ball, instructional, minor, major, junior and senior teams are included. The league plays at the fields east of Route 31, south of Route 20, near the driver's license facility.
