Metra train breaks down in Arlington Heights
A Union Pacific Northwest Metra train, No. 610 that was due to arrive downtown at 7:22 a.m., has broken down in Arlington Heights.
At least one train, No. 614, is also now stuck behind it, and Metra is reporting that efforts to link the trains has been unsuccessful.
Passengers are having to get off the train at Arlington Heights and wait for another one that's taking delayed commuters downtown.
UP Northwest lines are running about 15 to 25 minutes behind schedule, and the UP North line train departing Chicago at 7:25 a.m. was also delayed.
