Airmen to speak at Temple Chai

Temple Chai in Long Grove will be sponsoring members of the Chicago chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen beginning at 11:15 a.m. March 30. They will speak about the obstacles they encountered while becoming the only black fighter pilots in World War II.

Temple Chai is at 1670 Checker Road, in Long Grove.

Health and Fitness Fair held Feb. 23

Buffalo Grove Fitness Center's Annual Health and Fitness Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Participate in fitness circuit demonstrations, Pilates reformer demonstrations, Zumba class, health and fitness screenings, chair massage, food and much more. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Sports Academy-Northwest in Buffalo Grove and the Student Athlete Foundation will hold an evening designed to de-mystify college applications and financing. The event will provide opportunity for questions and answers. Parents of middle school- and high school-age children are invited to attend one evening: 7 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday at The Sports Academy-Northwest, 355 Hastings, Buffalo Grove in the Chevy Chase Business Park.
