Review board open for tax appeals

The Board of Review will be open Wednesday through March 20 for Palatine Township residents wishing to file an appeal to their recent property tax assessments.

Residents who filed an appeal with the County Assessor's office and did not get a favorable ruling can file an appeal with the Board of Review.

Caregiver training at The Garlands

The Barrington Area Council on Aging's six-week "Powerful Tools for Caregivers" class begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Prairieview Building at The Garlands of Barrington, 6000 Garlands Lane, Suite 100.

The course is designed for nonprofessional caregivers helping parents, spouses or friends at home, in a nursing home or across the country. The suggested donation is $30.
