Aurora police plan traffic crackdown

Aurora police will increase traffic patrols Friday at some of the most dangerous intersections on the city's far east side, authorities said Thursday.

The detail will focus on locations that typically experience a high number of accidents, police said. Officers will use unmarked vehicles as part of the crackdown on drivers who speed, follow too closely or otherwise violate traffic laws.

A similar operation last month netted 118 citations along Eola Road.
