Krog, Giroux spark Wolves
Center Jason Krog, the American Hockey League's leading scorer, and center Alexandre Giroux each had a goal and 2 assists as the Chicago Wolves opened an early lead on the way to a 3-1 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena on Saturday night.
Left wing Brett Sterling tallied in the first period and Giroux scored in the second before the Wolves held off a late charge and used a goal from Krog to seal the victory.
The Wolves' .719 winning percentage leads the AHL's West Division while their 69 points are tied with the Rockford IceHogs, who have played five more games.
Wolves goalie Ondrej Pavelec recorded 20 saves on 21 shots in the win.
